GreatWater 360 Auto Care Joins Brakes for Breasts in Support of Breast Cancer Research
All GreatWater locations will participate throughout October, with support from NAPA, AutoZone and APSG
Grand Rapids, MI — September 30, 2026 — GreatWater 360 Auto Care is once again joining auto repair shops across the country in support of Brakes for Breasts, a nationwide initiative founded in 2011 that brings the automotive repair industry together to help fund breast cancer vaccine research.
Throughout October, all shops in the GreatWater 360 Auto Care network will participate in the campaign. Customers who purchase qualifying brake service will receive 50% off brake pads, with the cost of the brake pad discount supported by GreatWater partners NAPA, AutoZone and APSG. GreatWater will also donate a portion of each qualifying brake sale to Brakes for Breasts in support of the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund.
“Brakes for Breasts is a great example of what our industry can accomplish when shops, suppliers and customers all come together around something bigger than auto repair,” said Jim Dykstra, CEO of GreatWater 360 Auto Care. “We were proud to be part of this effort last year, and expanding participation to the new shops in our network, gives our teammates and customers an opportunity to make an even greater impact this October.”
Founded in 2011, Brakes for Breasts has raised more than $2.4 million for breast cancer research. Funds raised through the initiative support research into the development of a breast cancer prevention vaccine. Phase 1a, 1b and 1c clinical trials have been completed, and Phase 2 is expected to open in 2027.
“When GreatWater 360 Auto Care stepped up last year, it showed what’s possible when an entire network of shops rallies behind one cause,” said Leigh Anne Best, co-founder of Brakes for Breasts. “Every brake job at a participating GreatWater location becomes part of something much bigger: funding research that could one day prevent breast cancer altogether. We’re honored to have their technicians, teams and customers with us again this year.”
For GreatWater, the campaign also provides an opportunity to connect an important cause with a service critical to keeping drivers safe.
“Nearly everyone has a friend, family member or teammate whose life has been touched by breast cancer,” Dykstra added. “We hope customers see this as an opportunity to take care of something important on their vehicle while joining our team in supporting research that could make a difference for generations to come.”
The Brakes for Breasts campaign will run throughout October at participating GreatWater 360 Auto Care locations. Customers can contact theirl ocal GreatWater shop for offer details and to schedule brake service.
